Waltzingmouse Stamps Flower Show

Hey everyone! Happy Friday!

And what a Happy Friday it is too!! Today I’m sharing something with you that I’ve had to sit on and keep quiet for a while, and finally the day has come to be able to share!

That’s right! I am *extremely* honoured, humbled and privileged to have been asked to take part in a very special Blog Hop being put on by none other than Waltzingmouse Stamps!!!

To say I was giddy with excitement when I received my invitation is putting it mildly!! I just want to first of publicly gush and thank Claire for inviting me to participate!! It is *such* an honour and a privilege and by gosh am I excited!!!

So, where were we? Ah yes, the details!! Well, are you in for a treat!! WMS has laid on an *awesome* spread of talented designers, all coming together to showcase projects with one purpose: flowers! WMS does flowers so well, and in such a variety of styles, so you’re bound to find something to suit your proclivities! We were each asked to select a flower set and create a project featuring it. We have all done just that, and let me tell you now – you will not be disappointed as you hop along and bask in the glory of all these amazing creations!!

And the hop doesn’t just end there! There’s also the chance to win an *amazing* prize!! Further details on that later on in this post!

So, for my project I opted to use the Folk Art Medallion set from the last release:

This  set is awesomely detailed, but doesn’t just have to be used in a folksy style! Let me show you what I created with this set:

First of all, how awesome is that?! Not at all what you were expecting from this set, right? So so *so* pretty and dreamy and not at all folksy!!

I started with a Rustic White card base and stamped all the little flower images using a variety of A:Muse inks (see supplies below). I loved building up all my blossoms in this way – I love the way it turned out!!

Once I had a filled out enough image I added the trunk from the Through The Trees set – but not before I stamp kissed it with the Woodgrain set, of course! The trunk wasn’t long enough for my liking so I masked off the base and stamped using one of the stamps from Woodgrain to finish it off.

I added the sentiment from Teeny Trees using SU! Soft Suede ink, then tied on some May Arts twine at the top. I still needed a little ‘something’ to finish this card off so I gently splattered on some Creme de Chocolat Glimmer Mist to give it a more artsy feel.

*Happy sigh* I couldn’t be happier with how this card turned out!!

So, what’s next? Simple! First of all you need to hop over and see what all the amazing designers have come up with for their creations:

*** Taheerah Atchia (you are here!) ***
Meredith MacRitchie
Aneta Matuszewska
Kimberly Crawford
Emilie Chamel
Pauline Pollington
Anne-Elise
Suezie Howard
JJ Bolton
Helen Berry

Once you have done that (and please leave some love for these talented ladies along the way!) then it’s your turn! That’s right – we want to see you use one of the designers’ creations as the springboard for your own creativity! Simply CASE one of the projects you have seen, then add your entry to the special Inlinkz on Claire’s blog (the widget goes live on the 23rd April, so you have plenty of time to get inky!). The prize up for grabs? One lucky entrant will win 5 stamp sets of your choice!!! Holy generosity, Batman!

Your next stop is Debbie Olson – get yourselves over there and tell her Taheerah sent you! *wink* I just *know* you are all going to have such a great time hopping along!!

I would love to know what you think of this card before you head off to your next stop, I love it when you leave love! Thanks so much for stopping by – see you again soon!
