Hey everyone!
I’ve been rubbish at updating my blog lately so I thought I’d make an effort tonight to share some cards I’ve made lately. One day I’ll catch up, honest!!
Today’s cards were made for a commission. I was asked to produce 4 ‘Thank You’ cards, and apart from the size the rest of the details were up to me. I love requests like this, they equal more play time! :o)
Anyway, here’s what I came up with:
This first card features In Bloom, Fancy Flourishes and Communique Sentiments. I just love the fun combination of Berry Sorbet, Raspberry Fizz, Spring Moss, Summer Sunrise and Kraft! The punch detail was created with my SU! punch and the flourish and blooms were stamped with Raspberry Fizz.
This second card features Blooming Button Bits, Polka Dot Basics I, Turning A New Leaf and Communique Sentiments again. Aren’t those leaves so fun?! I inked up the leaves using Hibiscus then kissed against Polka Dot Basics I which had been inked with True Black ink. The base is actually Hibiscus Burst but for some reason it keeps coming out like Raspberry Fizz in the photo. :o( I added some rhinestones for a little extra detail and used sparkly Raspberry Fizz buttons to add some bling!
I think this third card is my favourite!! I started with a Rustic White base and stamped Background Basics: Tin Type using Aqua Mist, then again at the top and bottom with Dark Chocolate for some added detail. The tag features Big & Bold Wishes, stamped with Dark Chocolate on Vintage Cream. I added some Summer Sunrise ribbon to make it look like a tag (actually a scrap from the bow from my first card – see, save your scraps!!) and I added a small piece of Pretty Pastels patterned paper which was cut with my PTI Small Scallop border die. Oh my God, I love these dies!!
The last card is a lovely mellow combination of Kraft, Rustic Cream, Dark Chocolate and Berry Sorbet. I love using the buttons as berries! Stamps used on this card are Turning a New Leaf and 2009 Autumn Tags. Also I’m sure you can’t help but notice that *gorgeous* subtle detail on the Rustic Cream panel!! That’s the Tin Types Impression Plate people, and you *must* get it!!!
So there you go, I hope you enjoyed! I’d love to hear which of these is your favourite and why!! As always thank you so much for stopping by and leaving some love if you choose to do so, it really makes my day! I’ll hopefully be back again tomorrow posting some more cards – I have so much to show you!!
This is my favorite card so far tonight. I actually zoomed in really close to see how you cut out those leaves. They look so perfect, just like you punched them out. What a good job you did. Very pretty.
These are all so pretty! My favorite is the first one 🙂
These are all great but I think I like the last one best. The colors work superbly together and I'm diggin' the tin types impression – it makes it look almost quilted. TFS, T!
Great cards!! I love how you used Tin Types to create an argyle-like pattern.
So Cool!

You want me to choose a favorite??? Good grief, if you kep posting incredible cards like this, I won't be able to visit any other blog but yours! I THINK the first one is my fave….I LOVE the use of spring moss with the summer sunrise ribbon…so clever and very striking. But your double stamped tin types on the 3rd is AWESOME, so it's a toss up.
You go girl. Keep up the amazing designs. I'm in awe.
These are lovely Taheerah! I love how you layered the tin type background!
What a bevy of beautiful cards! Tough to pick a fave but that last one just wins it – fab layout and beautiful colours! Definitely inspires me to ink up Turning a New Leaf ;D

Hi Taheerah,
Very quickly (I`ll back later to read everything) – fantastic cards! I love your simply style. My favourite is nr 3 & 4. Lovely colours, floral stamps + buttoms.
Hugs, Magda
They are all wonderful! I think my fave is the last one though….love the colors and simple elegance.
Wow!! Your cards are just beautiful!
These are wonderful! I love the floral (who isn't thinking Spring these days?) but the clever slanted sentiment is my favorite!
These cards are fabulous! I can't decide which one is my favorite so I'll just say "all of them"!
Pretty cards! My favs are the ones I Kraft! I just can't resist Kraft!!
Very nice cards T! You did a great job! Love the second and third one. Really sweet.
