Hey everyone!
Well, I guess you thought you’d probably never see me blog again! Life has just been getting in the way and I’ve really neglected posting, so I’m sorry about that. I’m going to make an effort to rectify that though – again!
So, today’s card is one that I submitted for a Paper Crafts call. The card wasn’t picked up but I still love it and I’m going to keep trying!
I’ve been on a really feminine-vintagey kick lately and I just love the sweet colours and delicate nature of this card!
I started with a piece of Library Ledger patterned paper (my new favourite patterned paper BTW!) and stamped it with Dot Spot using Aqua Mist and CTMH Desert Sand inks. I am so loving CTMH inks and can see myself getting loads more of them! After stamping I distressed the edges, crumpled up the paper then swiped with VintageTouch Tea Dye Duo inks, both on the panel creases and into the distressed edges too.
I created the sentiment with a few different stamps from Say It With Style then framed it with curly brackets from Get To The Point. I used CTMH Desert Sand with a little Dark Chocolate ink added in to make the sentiment stand out from the paper. I then added Kaisercraft Rhinestones for a pretty effect. I tied a Sweet Blush Swiss Dot bow then added Aqua Mist and Dark Chocolate buttons using Glue Dots. Finally the panel was adhered to a Vintage Cream card base using Pinflair Glue Gel.
I’d love to hear what you think of this creation, and I promise I’m going to do my best to keep updating! Bye for now and thanks for stopping by!!
I'm just catching up on blogs after being on vacation for awhile and just saw this card. I'm so glad that you're posting again, Taheerah! This card is really fabulous! I love the dot spot and the water spots. I'm glad you will keep trying to submit to magazines. I'm sure something will be picked up. You do beautiful work!
Taheera, this is as good as ice cream! 😀

I'm so glad I was able to meet you, you are so sweet!! I hope you enjoyed your time in the States!! 🙂
Love the distressed look of this card! I like how contrasted the browns are with the pink ribbon and the bling. Very clever!
Hello, Taheerah. I'm a lurker (guess I prefer to think of it more as a "listener" 🙂 at the PTI forum. But I love PTI as much as you. This card you've made is just lovely. I happen to love Dot Spot and every time I see it used in different ways I'm just thrilled. Keep up the very good work and keep submitting! Lisa S. (creativemom4)
This card describes you exactly Taheerah! Sweet, fabulous you! I love the shabby, vintage-ness of it! Welcome back to blogland. Im gonna try to keep updating also!
This is so pretty! I love the vintage look!
Hey stranger LOL!!!! Lovely to see you posting again! You know, you can totally do this style; it scares me so much so I'm leaving this to you! LOL!

Oooh, I love the sweet colors, the ribbon, and the bling! SO pretty!
Well PC was BLIND not to grab this baby up T! It's stinkin' perfect!
Great card! I'm surprised it wasn't picked by paper crafts as it's got a really unique look. I'm really loving lighter brighter cards at the minute too Adele 🙂
LOVE it – very rustic. I am JUST learning to be more grungey (very tentatively – it doesn't come naturally to me) but I love the look of this.
Just the right amount of blurb too – I actually had time to read it all this time, lol!
Hugs,
