Hi everyone! I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend! It’s a Bank Holiday here so I have a lovely extended weekend which is very much appreciated!

Time sure flies! Since I’ve been back at work I’ve been crazy busy and before I knew it several weeks have passed without me posting!

So today I’m bringing you one of my most favourite cards that I’ve created:

What do you think? I’m just so in love with this beauty! It sadly wasn’t picked up by either Paper Crafts or CARDS Magazine, but that means I can share it with you here!

I started with some Kraft wrapping paper and stamped it with Make Your Own background set from Hero Arts on it using CTMH Brown Bag ink. I love how this looks like the cover of an old sewing pattern! I tore the image out then crumpled up the paper before tying a piece of Rustic Cream Button Twine round it then adhering it to a Rustic Cream card base using Pinflair Glue Gel.

Next came the button card. I die cut this from Rustic White cardstock and stamped it with the co-ordinating images from Button Boutique using CTMH Brown Bag as before. I die cut another piece of Rustic White cardstock using the swatch die from the Button Boutique die collection, stamped it with Background Basics: Houndstooth using Aqua Mist ink. I impressed it with the Linen & Canvas Impression Plate to give it a nice fabric texture before adhering it to the button card using Scor-Tape.

Next I added all those fun accents! These are from the Cosmo Cricket Vintage Vogue Chipboard Pops collection. I added a little additional adhesive to them before adhering to make sure they stuck, then embellished with a few brown rhinestones.

Almost there! Before adhering the button card in place I added some strips of Scor-Tape to the card base and added a strip of lace and crinkle ribbon. The crinkle ribbon is from MemrieMare on Etsy. The lace was from JoAnns (from my last trip to the States!) and was originally cream, so I dyed it with some Creme de Chocolat Glimmer Mist first. I deliberately frayed the edges of the ribbon and lace to add some vintage flair. I then adhered the button card to the card base using lots of Pinflair Glue Gel.

Finally, the sentiment! I created my own custom washi tape using Kraft Tissue Paper and Scor-Tape. I then stamped the sentiment, letter by letter, using MFT’s Typewriter Alphabet using CTMH Brown Bag. I then tore each word apart and adhered separately to the card base.
