Hi everyone! Happy Friday!! I’m so glad to welcome the weekend!!
So I thought I’d have a go at playing along with the latest MoxieFab World Trigger Tuesday Challenge. I’ve never played before but this beautiful inspiration photo made it impossible to resist:
So beautiful with all the gold, linen tablet cloth, the plate and fine cutlery!
So, before I show you my card, I should say… I’m not very pleased with it, lol. I mean, it’s not a bad card, but I might try again to see if I can do better!
Anyway, after several hours of agonising, I came up with this:
Hmm. I’d like to know what you think of this card – you already have my opinion! One thing I will say – it shimmers with gold so much more in real life!!
I started with a Clear and Simple Stamps 24 Karat Gold card base and stamped it with the Hero Arts Tiny Ink Spots stamp using Versamark ink. I then heat embossed it with WOW! Opaque Vanilla White embossing powder.
I then used my dies from Limitless Layers 2.5″, Limitless Layers dies and Table Service dies to die cut the three circles. I splattered them with Heidi Swapp Gold Lame Colour Shine Spray and then adhered them to the card base using Pinflair Glue Gel.
Next I stamped the knife and spoon from Table Service onto Vintage Cream cardstock and heat embossed with WOW! Metallic Brass embossing powder. I trimmed the cutlery out and adhered in place with Pinflair.
Onto some final touches. I tied some 24 Karat Gold Cord to the top and fashioned a bow, then I set to work on the sentiment panel. I die cut a tag from Vintage Cream cardstock using the Tag Sale #7 die, splattered it with Gold Lame spray as before then trimmed the top off. I stamped the sentiment from Gracious Vases and heat embossed with Gold Detail embossing powder, then stamped the stitches from Sew Simple Borders and heat embossed with Metallic Brass embossing powder. The tab is adhered with Pinflair Glue Gel and thus concludes my card!
ETA: as a final final touch I added a scattering of Kaisercraft pearls and some gold metal studs – and now I’m really really done!!
Well, as I said, I’d love to know what you think of this card! I’ll be back again tomorrow with another crafty project – lots of crafting planned for this weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Your take on the Trigger is so cool! I love all the texture, embossing and splatter.
Hey Taheerah! Thanks for linking this up to this week's Tuesday Trigger in the Moxie Fab World! I'm so glad you joined in on all the fun! ๐
Whew. There is absolutely nothing remotely close to anything I've done today, or posted today in this card. Having said that, I love how playful this is. I had to reread your post to realize that your background is white embossed, instead of gold stamped. I'd be using that one all the time, it's great!
ZOMG. That tiny silverware! I love them. Your details are fabulous.
All this gold looks fabulous! I specially love the splatter! and I also like that you used vellum for the circles. Great card, I am sure the shimmer looks awesome up close!!
You know I really like this card! The layout, especially, everything is just right and where it should be. Even the splatters ๐ I agree that the knife and fork would look better bigger, but hey, I don't even have a knife & fork stamp so I'll have to go around that part completely ๐
I love your table setting! Beautifully embossed too!
Oh that's super! & I know I've mentioned it before but I'm very impressed with your blog photography – great props! I could learn a thing or two ๐ xxx
This I love! You know I have an embossing addiction! And vellum too, this is gorgeous!
Great photos Taheerah and you know I love that background ๐ My favourite bit is the sentiment tag – love the stitching, splatters and sentiment in two directions ๐
This is a beautiful card with awesome techniques. I really like it "as is." The only thing I might be inclined to change is a bigger spoon and fork. ๐
wonderful take on the challenge! glad to join ur blog!
hugs! shivani
