Hey everyone! Happy Weekend!
I’m here to share a celebration card as I have some happy news. Two of my projects will be featuring in Holiday Cards & More: Volume 8! Woo hoo!
(If I hadn’t got in I’d have been making and sharing a different card with you today, lol).
Okay, here we go: 🙂
What do you think? I really love this! Reminds me of a vintage circus poster!!
I started with a panel of Lemon Tart cardstock and stamped the letters from Tim Holtz’s Mini Cirque Alphabet set using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then heat embossed with WOW! Clear Matt Dull embossing powder. I stamped the letters again on Post-It notes, trimmed them out and masked the panel, then stamped the panel with Distressed Stripes using Sweet Blush, Orange Zest and Summer Sunrise inks. The first two of these were actually the pigment formation.
I stamped some other stripes with Versamark ink too. The stripes were then embossed – some clear, some pink, some yellow – all fun!!
Once all my embossing was done I distressed the edges and inked up with VintageTouch Tea Dye duo inks and Sweet Blush pigment ink. I then adhered the panel to a Lemon Tart card base and I was all done!
So, have you many plans for the weekend? I think I will be getting crafty, but at a much more leisurely pace now that the Holiday Cards call is done! Or will I… there’s always the next call!
Happy weekend everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by – please leave some love if you’re feelin’ it, thanks!!

YAY, so excited when I saw your post at the FB party : ) Big congrats, again! So loving yellow these days, I have to talk myself into putting that paper down. Totally get your vintage circus poster vibe. Love the yellow stripes behind the letters, and the tiny bit of blush pink!
Congratulations!! What a great card!
Fantastic! I love the bold colors and vintage feel, such a happy card!
Huge congrats on the pub!! This card is so unique and cool!
Love the bold look, it does look like a poster! Gorgeous and FUN!!
I love the circus look! What a fun card, your letters are perfectly placed….I would have messed up at least three times.
Very cool!!
