It’s a very strange post I write today. The title says it all really.
Over the past few days, as I’ve been scrabbling around, creating for this, that and the other, I found myself getting increasingly stressed. Deadlines. DT work. Challenges. Publications. Commissions. It’s all just become a bit much, and a bit overwhelming.
I’m looking around at all my copious supplies and mess in my Craft Room with such a heavy heart. As I think it’s time to hang up my crafting shoes and call it a day. It’s been a crazy, amazing ride, but I just don’t think I can do it anymore.
BAZINGA!!
Okay, I’m sure that didn’t have anyone convinced, but just in case I had any of you going for a sec there, I just want to draw your attention to today’s date. *wink* The above was my attempt at an April Fools joke – and this is exactly why I don’t do them, because I suck at them!!
But, there was a second reason for the lead-in to this, and to Sheldon’s proclamation of a practical joke – it fits in perfectly with today’s card. 🙂

I’m a huge fan of The Big Bang Theory, and I just love Sheldon to bits! This card is a replica of a T-Shirt bearing the same design and slogan, and I had so much fun creating it!!
I started by stamping my letters from Inkadinkado’s Cartoon Alphabet set onto Harvest Gold cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I trimmed them all out carefully, ready to go on my card base.
The card base is Pure Poppy cardstock, and to recreate the design of the T-Shirt I added a circle die cut from Stamper’s Select White cardstock using the Limitless Layers 2.5″ die collection. I adhered this to my base then adhered all my letters individually, at different heights, using Pinflair Glue Gel. Totally worth the effort!!
And yes, in case you were wondering, those are all my textbooks, and they are real. I studied Astrophysics at university, and still wish to find a way into a career there, someday. No ‘BAZINGA!’ there. 🙂
Right, well, I’d better head off and go do some crafting, seeing as I’m not giving it up. *wink*. I’ll be back later on today though with the Sneak Peek for StampSpotlight – yes, it’s that time already, woo hoo!!

Tee hee – gotta love that show! I just watched a rerun where Krupsky (sp??) and Sheldon had a duel of sorts that was sports related … such hilarious physical comedy!!

You almost got me for a split second….that is ALL!I always feel the PASSION of your paper-crafting, So there is NO way that you are giving up! Me, on the other hand, was dreaming about what if I give up on card-making in my blog and make that announcement!? Would it be shocking!? Will I be missed? LOL.

Umm, yeah, you crazy girl, you're not fooling anyone. I forgot it was April Fools, but I still did not believe you for a second. This is in your blood! It has to be somewhat believable to begin with. Better luck next year : )
Unfortunately I don't watch Big Bang Theory, but from a design perspective, it's a cool card! Of course you would have all the letters at different heights. Crazy girl.
