Hi everyone! How are you on this fine Tuesday? 🙂
I can’t believe it’s time for the final introductory post for the Uniko Studio April Release already – time really does fly when you’re having fun!
Today I’m helping to introduce the final new stamp set for this release. Pure Florals: Chrysanthemum features an amazingly detailed number of chrysanthemum flowers that are simply stunning!!
As soon as I saw this set I had it in mind to paper piece one of those gorgeous flowers:
Let me just tell you: all that fussy cutting was a pain. But so worth it though, thankfully!
I started by stamping the large outline chrysanthemum onto Studio Calico patterned paper and fussy cutting out – twice! I selectively cut the second image to get some dimension with those petals and curved them up with my fingers. I adhered the two images together using Pinflair Glue Gel. I hope you can see the dimension!
I then set to work on my Stamper’s Select White card base, adhering some patterned papers from the same collection, and adding a strip of Scor-Tape between them. I coated this with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder and heat set – love how this turned out! I finished up by adhering the flower in place, along with some sequins, and adding my sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink.
So I do hope you will join me again tomorrow for the super-exciting Release Day Blog Hop! All the products for this month will be released – and the Design Team has created some amazing things with them!! So exciting!!! I can’t wait to show you my final projects!! In the meantime I really recommend checking out the Uniko blog where Bev is officially introducing the release every day – and also to the designers who are also showcasing this set today! Make sure you comment on each of their gorgeous creations – I hear there could be a mystery prize giveaway in it for you! *wink*
I’d love to know what you think of today’s creation – it really makes my day when you comment! Thanks so much for stopping by – I hope to see you again tomorrow for the beyond-awesome Blog Hop!
This one is SO beautiful!! Great use of patterned paper. Everything looks so well coordinated; color, layout and design. The flower is the best part! I did notice the dimension, and it was definitely worth it, going through the trouble of trimming it twice!
amazing fuzzy cutting and love the result. really like the background on this, too. that gold strip is fab! gorgeous card, girl!
All of the fussy cutting was worth it. I LOVE that you stamped it on patterned paper! The mix of papers is wicked cool. Another fabulous card, Taheerah!

Holy fussy-cutting! That flower is amazing Taheerah! And I love the details in the background. So many elements, but they work together beautifully!
I am blown away by this card. I don't know how long it took to cut out the chrysanthemum, but now I know it is worth every second. The background collage, just beautiful.
Great card. Worth the effort indeed. Have enjoyed your creations on this hop. Thanks for sharing and visiting me.

So cool Taheerah! I love the kind of collagey style, the sequins, that fantastic flower, the glitter. so you.
I love love love the paper-piecing! All the elements work so beautifully with this amazing stamp! This card is a SHOW STOPPER, Taheerah!
OK, so the bad thing about always turning out crazy-involved projects is that I start to expect it … all the time!! : ) I am happy to report that you exceeded my high expectations with this one. That flower is incredible! My tendency would be to put it on a plain base so that it's the star, but I love how you have a collage base with glitter and sequins. What a great total package!!
Yes, I love marble! It is timeless and so elegant.
honey onyx

Holy guacamole!!! That's some extreme fussy cutting! Totally worth it for this stunning card though!
I love the collage effect – wish I could master it myself but I think I'll leave it to you! *wink*
Hugs!

EEEEEEK!!! Jumping up and down with excitement over your card, that is AMAZINGLY FABULOUS! One thing on my to do list with the large Chrysanth was to paper piece it & all I can say is "it wouldn't have turned out as FABulous as yours!" I'm still going to have to give it a try though! SO super HAPPY to have you Guest Designing this month! HUGS Bev xx
Beautiful colors, design, and fussy cutting that looks like it was cut from a die. A really gorgeous card.
OMG! Awesome! Love the paper pieced large Chrysanthemum and with the gold strip and pattern paper, gives the look of a collage effect. Love love it, T!
