Hey everyone! Happy Saturday!
Today I’m playing with a mix of old and new stamps, all of the Papertrey variety! I wanted to create something a bit vintage-modern and came up with this:
What do you think? I really love how this turned out!
I started with a Rustic White card base and masked off a border using washi tape. I then stamped one of the stamps from Background Basics: Text Style II using Kraft ink stamped off once. I then stamped the big rose from The Sweet Life using SU! Blushing Bride and Strawberry Slush inks, stamping off the darker ink and then going over it again with the lighter ink for a lovely blended look.
Next I stamped the large ribbon from Ribbon & Bows using Blushing Bride ink (stamped off once) and then again with Kraft ink stamped off a couple of times. I stamped the big border from Quilled Elegance on the right using Kraft ink to balance the design out.
To add some finishing touches I tied some May Arts twine round the base and tied it in a bow, and added the sentiment from Boutique Borders: Love using SU! Baked Brown Sugar ink. I added part of the sentiment from Side By Side Sentiments using the same ink, and also opted to add the hatch marks on the edges of the cards that measured out my border for a fun look! And that was me all done!
Well, after watching all the Stamp-A-Faire videos today I’m feeling super-inspired to create more this weekend – I hope to have a very crafty day tomorrow! Thanks so much for stopping by – I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way!
