Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday!
More Lawn Fawn today! I was thinking about the Blue Skies set and how everyone creates bright cards with it, so I decided to try my hand at creating something a bit more vintage and with an old newspaper/book kinda feel:
What do you think? I’m pretty pleased!
I started by stamping my balloon onto Pressed Greige Linen cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. With hindsight I wish I’d stamped onto cream using brown ink, but never mind! I coloured the balloon with Copics before stamping the miniature roses and leaves from The Sweet Life using SU! Primrose Petals, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Suede inks. I then masked off the roses and sections and stamped each section at a time with Background Basics: Newsprint using SU! Baked Brown Sugar ink. As a finishing touch I stamped the some flourishes from Fancy Flourishes as well.
Next I stamped a background on my Vintage Cream card base using Postmarks and a mix of SU! Blushing Bride ink, as well Pear Pizzazz and Baked Brown Sugar inks. So much fun building this background! I then aged it a bit with VintageTouch Tea Dye Duo inks.
I die cut a banner from Vintage Cream cardstock using the Tilted Banner dies and stamped the sentiment from Titled Banner Sayings before inking the edges. I adhered my elements to my card using Pinflair Glue Gel and I was all done!
Well, seeing as I managed to oversleep by a whole hour this morning(!) I would say I am definitely in need of sleep, so off to bed with me! I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Such a CUTE card!! Love the colors and the background is AMAZING! 🙂
I love your stamping and the motion you created. This is a hard one to get balanced, but as usual, you did a perfect job!
Ummm… LOVE this. <3
