I have an extra special post for you today!

The girls at Uniko Studio, along with Chaitali, are throwing a special Blog Hop to celebrate Uniko’s own Bev who is just about to tie the knot!! Bev, I hope you’ve managed to see this before you fly off for your nuptials – and if so I hope you’re loving what we have laid out for you!!

Bev is the kindest, sweetest and most awesome boss you could ever imagine. Not only is she great to work with but she is also such a sweet and kind person in real life, and we’re so very excited for her big day! Bev, you truly deserve every happiness and we are all so happy for you!!

We decided to throw a special shower, featuring flower stamps from Uniko Studio for something extra special! I chose to work with the adorable Flower Power #2, and of course put my own spin on it:

I started by stamping the outline flowers onto vellum using Versamark ink and then heat embossed them with WOW! Opaque Seafoam White embossing powder. I then trimmed out selected petals from each flower, flipped them over and coloured with a range of Copic markers. Love the subtle hint of colour this provides!

I clustered the petals at the top of my Rustic White card base. I made the base a little taller than usual to incorporate my design – the idea of course is flower petal confetti being thrown in the air! I adhered each petal in place with Pinflair Glue Gel.

Next came the glitter! This is a variety of pink Martha Stewart Tinsel Glitters which I sprayed with spray adhesive before sprinkling on top of the card! As long as you don’t tap or rub the card too much they pretty much stay put, lol!

Finally I heat embossed the sentiment from Congrats All Ways using WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder. I added the exclamation mark from one of the sentiments from All Occasions #1 but then used my brush to very carefully remove some of the embossing powder to make it slimmer before heat embossing! I think it ended up pretty much matching the sentiment which is what I was after!
