I’ve been trying to cheer myself up today, so when I took to my craft table I decided to create something using some of my favourite things:

What do you think? I think it turned out alright!

Some of my favourite things: A:Muse inks in Shell, Burano and Lime. SU! ink in Crisp Cantaloupe.

Bold, fun stamps from Mama Elephant (Modern Borders and Big Words). Airmail-style stamp from Neat & Tangled’s On The Strip. Lots of fussy cutting.

Trends in the form of feathers (Waltzingmouse Stamps’ Fine Feathers), chevrons (Mama Elephant’s Modern Borders) and neon.

Splatter with neon mist. That silver POW! Glitter Paper that I can’t seem to put down.

I spent a good two and a half hours putting this card together. It felt therapeutic to just take my time and be very deliberate about each element. I think it helped having something else to think about.

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend. I’ve spent most of mine holding my remaining two cats close and giving them lots of cuddles, and just napping and sleeping. I’ve not really been up to much else, just trying to do whatever my body tells me it needs to heal.

I started thinking about Christmas cards but I haven’t got all my supplies yet so this one is very firmly in the ideas stage right now – it’s difficult to even come up with colour schemes when I haven’t got the stamps I want to play with yet! I’ll be getting a few of those with the Papertrey release – are you ordering anything tonight?
