Before we get to this week’s challenge I want to thank all of you that submitted entries for the last challenge. They were all truly beautiful entries and you did not make my life easy when choosing the winners!! I really wanted to pick you all!! Here are my Top 3 Cures For The Monday Blues:

There were some seriously impressive entries this week – you really are making it harder and harder to pick each week!!

So are you excited to get this week’s challenge under way?! Let’s see what’s up for this week’s challenge:

Source: Pinterest

There’s so much to take in with this inspiration!! The flowers, the black and gold, the hand lettering, that tablecloth! Loads of possibilities to create from!!

I felt compelled to take a few different elements as my inspiration and came up with this:

I’m still not sure how I feel about the finished result, but I think it’s growing on me, lol!

I started with a Pure White card base and used Scor-Tape to adhere Distress Glitter in Victorian Velvet. I then die cut a circle from one of the patterned papers from the Pink Paislee Luxe Collection using the Stitched Circle dies and adhered it with Pinflair Glue Gel.

I then stamped flowers from The Sweet Life and Cutting Garden using GinaK inks in White and IvoryMama Elephant inks in Blush, Bubble Gum and Lollipop, and Distress ink in Picked Raspberry. I stamped the leaves from Larger Than Life using Distress ink in Shabby Shutters. All were trimmed out and adhered using Pinfalir Glue Gel.

I stamped the sentiment from Winnie & Walter’s The Big, The Bold, and The Happy using Versamark ink and heat embossed using WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder. I then inked the cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink and adhered in place using Pinflair.

As some final finishing touches I stamped and heat embossed the circular confetti from Winnie & Walter’s Scenery: Big Bang Confetti set and used my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen to add some additional sparkle!!

So now it’s your turn to cure the Monday Blues! Here’s how to participate in the challenge!

  1. Loved the winners from last week! Way to go on providing so much inspiration around bloggy land!! I'm surprised you're on the fence about this card. The gold embossing with the pink is classic Taheerah. Love all your layers, and how you incorporated the stripes from the tablecloth as one of the layers. I'll monkey-clap for this one, it needs to feel the love : )

  2. Yay! Thanks for choosing my card, Taheerah… these were unexpected good news! Congratulations to the other winners, too!
Your card has all the gorgeous details of the exquisite decoration on the picture. Now, I don't want to copy, but I have a MS glitter almost the same color of the one you have used, and I might have to use it for my card, too… :).
