Neat & Tangled March 2014 Release – Introducing Tiny Triangles

Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday!

So it’s So it’s Day 2 of the Neat & Tangled March Release! You will go absolutely crazy for the awesomeness we’re bringing you for this month!! Definitely something for everyone, with some super-versatile sets!!

Today I’m helping to introduce a super-versatile little background set called Tiny Triangles!! If you loved Diamonds last month then you are going to love this one! Tiny Triangles picks up where Diamonds left off, with a mix of solid and outline triangle shapes that really adds such a great detail to any project!!

I was still crushing heavily on the dreamy watercolour-like look, but wanted a bit more of a modern twist. Here’s what I came up with:

I really love how this turned out!!

I started by heat embossing the triangles onto a Pure White card base, stamping with Versamark ink and heat embossing with WOW! Clear Semi Dull embossing powder. I then watercoloured using Simon Says Stamp ink in Sea Glass, along with some Heidi Swapp Colour Shine Mist in Gold Lame. When dry I ironed the card between some sheets of paper to remove the embossing powder in the same manner as yesterday’s card.

I then punched out a square of white cardstock, stamped and heat embossed the sentiment (and the edges of the square) from Sparkle & Shine using WOW! Metallic Gold Sparkle embossing powder. I then inked over the whole square with Versafine Onyx Black ink before wiping off the excess to let that gold shine and adhering the square to the base using Pinflair Glue Gel. So modern that it drives me crazy – in a totally good way!!

I do strongly encourage you to visit the Neat & Tangled Blog to see what the rest of the DT has created and to hop along and leave them some love!

Thanks so much for stopping by – I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way!

  1. The soft look of the sea glass is so very pretty. I like how the bold black square with the gold embossing looks on top of the soft background. Fabulous job.

  2. Ooh la la…this is one striking card! The contrast between the soft background and bold sentiment: eye-catching! Wonderful showcase of the new release!
