I’m back today to welcome to Day 1 of the Newton’s Nook July Release!
We have FOUR *awesome* sets being released this month – and you’re totally invited to come party with us!
This month we’ve got something for everyone, and an extra-special celebration as it’s also coming up to Newton’s Nook Designs’ First Birthday – and it’s the first release for our new Design Team too!! Today’s set is a welcome return for a Newton set – Newton’s Daydream!!
I wanted to make Newton the focus and also bring in some little accents here and there. Here’s what I came up with:

I started with a panel of Rustic White cardstock and stamped Newton using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured him with Copics. I discovered an awesome combination to give the look of a British Shorthair’s fur and am so happy with the result!
I carefully trimmed out Newton and those flowers, then set at preparing my base. I adhered some sticker strips from the OHDEERME June Kit then adhered Newton in place using Pinflair Glue Gel. I stamped the birds and butterflies from the set and coloured them with Copics then added a butterfly embellishment and I was all done!
