Hey everyone!
This is my second post of the day! Please scroll down to see the Neat & Tangled Release – you definitely won’t want to miss today’s project!!!
I’m back today to welcome to Day 3 of the Newton’s Nook July Release!
We have FOUR *awesome* sets being released this month – and you’re totally invited to come party with us!
This month we’ve got something for everyone, and an extra-special celebration as it’s also coming up to Newton’s Nook Designs’ First Birthday – and it’s the first release for our new Design Team too!! Today’s set is an another fun set that is right on trend – Flirty Flamingos!!
I decided to keep the design trendy and fun! Here’s what I came up with:
What do you think? Funky right?!
I started by stamping the flamingo onto Pure White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured him with Copics. I trimmed him out carefully and set him aside whilst I prepared my tag. This was a ready-made tag from the BasicGrey Highline Collection which I stamped with the sentiment and the flamingo legs from the set. I adhered my flamingo body to my tag and the tag to a speech bubble die cut from patterned paper from the Studio Calico Valley High Card Kit using the Neat & Tangled A Lot To Say die. Each layer was adhered using Pinflair Glue Gel.
Onto the base now! I adhered a gold doily from the OHDEERME April 2014 kit to my base then added some Lawn Fawn Pink Lemonade cord. I adhered my speech bubble to my base using Pinflair then added some star sequins (including one to act as a crown!) and I was all done!
All the Newtonians (that’s what I’ve decided to call us, hehe!) are blog hopping today! Please be sure to join us and hop along and comment on each of the team’s creations! Read on because there’s a prize up for grabs!
Would you like to win Flirty Flamingos?
This set will be given away to two lucky winners!
Here’s how to win:
