Hey everyone!
This is my second post of the day! Please scroll down to see the latest Cure For The Monday Blues Challenge!
I’m back today to welcome to Day 1 of the Newton’s Nook August Release!
We have TWO *awesome* sets being released this month – and you’re totally invited to come party with us!
This month we’ve got something for everyone! Today’s set is a fun fun set that is bound to become a favourite – Hanging Around!!
I thought I’d pair Newton with one of the other critters in the set and came up with this:
What do you think? I love how this turned out!!
I started with a panel of Rustic White cardstock and adhered a piece of patterned paper from the Heidi Swapp Dreamy Collection, then stamped the branch and sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured the branch with Copics then set about the rest of the detail!
I stamped Newton and the squirrel onto a piece of Pure White cardstock and coloured them in, along with another branch. I trimmed them all out carefully, including trimming around Newton’s paws so I could hang him off the branch! All were adhered to the base using Pinflair Glue Gel and I added a wooden heart from the My Mind’s Eye Necessities Wood Collection and I was all done!
All the Newtonians (that’s what I’ve decided to call us, hehe!) are blog hopping today! Please be sure to join us and hop along and comment on each of the team’s creations! Read on because there’s a prize up for grabs!
Would you like to win Hanging Around?
This set will be given away to two lucky winners!
