Hey everyone!
I’m back today because it’s time for the Neat & Tangled November release! It feels so great to be creating again!!
Christmas is right around the corner and have we got an amazing Christmas release for you!! Definitely something for everyone, with some super-versatile sets!!
Today I’m helping to introduce two new sets called Bright Baubles and Christmas Journaling. Bright Baubles has the most awesome modern tree and a whole host of pretty ornaments to decorate it with! And Christmas Journaling has some fantastic mega-sized sentiments which are perfect for cards and journals and all sorts!
I really wanted to make something different with that tree image and decided to create a pine branch with it!
Here’s what I came up with:
I love how this turned out!
I started with a piece of Pure White cardstock. I did a little stamp surgery, cutting away the supporting photopolymer between the branches of the tree, so I could bend the stamp. I then stamped it repeatedly using a variety of Distress Inks, spritzing the stamp with water each time. Once I’d achieved the look I was after I trimmed out my branch and set about the rest of my card!
I took a panel of Pure White cardstock and impressed it with the Imprints 6 impression plate for some subtle texture. I then splattered with Mister Huey’s in Rose Petal and Heidi Swapp Colour Shine Mist in Gold Lame. I stamped my sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink.
I couldn’t help but use that ornament from Happy Ornaments again, this time stamping onto Pure White cardstock, heat embossing with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Sparkle embossing powder and watercolouring it with Distress Inks. I combined it with one of the ornaments from Merry And Bright to create an awesome faceted effect! I added a variety of sequins and embellishments from the Lucy’s Little Things mixes too then mounted my panel on my Pure White card base, adhered my branch and bauble using Pinflair Glue Gel and I was all done!
My next card is a bold design with one of the sentiments from Christmas Journaling:
I love how this turned out! It was oringally just going to be a background for another card but I decided it didn’t deserve to be covered up!
I stamped the sentiment repeatedly using Scarlet Jewel ink then added the stars from another set that’s new this release, stamping them with Tsukinkeo Delicata Gold ink and A:Muse ink in Grass onto my Rustic White card base and that was it!
I do strongly encourage you to visit the Neat & Tangled Blog to see what the rest of the DT has created and to hop along and leave them some love! There are prizes in it for you!
Thanks so much for stopping by – I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way!
