Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday!
I’m taking part in a very special Blog Hop today to celebrate one of my favourite companies!
The altogether awesome Altenew are three years old! Doesn’t time fly?! It seems like only yesterday that my dear friends Tasnim and Jen burst onto the stamping scene and stole our hearts with their fresh, trendy, clever designs! What they’ve accomplished in three years is staggering and a testament to their talent and hard work – and their innovation and product lines just keep on growing! World domination here we come!! Congratulations Altenew – Happy Birthday, and many more!
I have a couple of cards to celebrate the happy occasion, and they’re both with the theme of following your dreams:
I had so much fun with the Happy Dreams set! I love the fresh, Spring-like feel of the colour palette. Perfect for new beginnings.
I stamped the leaves with Morning Frost ink, then added some watercolouring in between the images with some Frayed Leaf ink. Some splatters of Lavender Fields mist really help lift the design and stop it from feeling too ‘cold’.
The gorgeous ‘Be A Dreamer’ sentiment fit the mood perfectly – especially when stamped on sunny yellow cardstock! I fussy cut the image and adhered with Pinflair Glue Gel. Some sequins finished off this beauty perfectly!
Next up, a change of colours, a change of mood – but every bit as encouraging:
Stunning right?! I loved watercolouring my own background using Distress Inks and smooshing with an acrylic block! Some splatters of gold and black mist compliment the background perfectly!
I loved using the flowers from Wild Hibiscus with just a clean black and white palette – totally fresh and interesting. I trimmed them out and adhered with Pinflair Glue Gel, also tucking in some leaves die cut from vellum.
A label maker sentiment added a bold, modern feel to the design, matched perfectly with some accompanying words of encouragement:
I think of Jen and Tasnim starting off on their journey with these two cards as their mantras – one to have a dream and the next to have the belief to bring it to life. And with beauty, style, class, and sophistication every step of the way. Just like their designs. *smile*
