Newton’s Nook Designs May 2015 Release – Introducing Newton’s Sick Day!

Hey everyone!

I’m back today to welcome to Day 1 of the Newton’s Nook May Release! 

We have THREE *awesome* sets being released this month – and you’re totally invited to come party with us!

This month we have some really fun cute images that you’re sure to love! We’re kicking off proceedings today with another awesome Newton set! This time Newton’s not feeling too well, bless him – but we know that sending cards created with this cutie are bound to cheer up anyone who’s under the weather! Newton’s Sick Day is perfect for all those get well cards!!

Here’s what I came up with:

I love how this turned out!!

I started with a piece of patterned paper from the Crate Paper Love Notes collection and painted over it with some Adirondack Snowcap paint. I then stamped the cross image repeatedly (this is part of one of the stamps in the set so I selectively inked it). I stamped Newton then coloured him and some of the crosses with Distress Markers. 

I added my sentiment, adhered my panel to another piece of patterned paper from the same collection, splattering a little Mister Huey’s on the top panel, then adhered a piece of glitter tape that I’d inked over with WPlus9 Old Gold ink to give it a more bronzed colour. I adhered the whole thing to my card base to complete the look!
