Hey everyone!
I’m back today to welcome to Day 2 of the Newton’s Nook November Release!
We have TWO *awesome* sets being released this month – and you’re totally invited to come party with us!
This month we’re still in the Holiday spirit! Today’s set kicks us off with a truly beautiful set inspired by quilled snowflakes – Beautiful Blizzard!!
I decided to opt for a non-traditional holiday card colour scheme. Here’s what I came up with:
What do you think? I love how this turned out!!
I started by blending Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers, Broken China, Spun Sugar and Fired Brick onto a panel of Pure White cardstock.
I misted the panel with water mixed with Perfect Pearls in between layers, and dried with my heat tool. Just check out that wonderful gradient of colour! I also splattered some Studio Calico Mister Huey’s in Calico Shine to add some extra glamour!
Next I stamped several of the snowflakes and the sentiment onto the panel using Versamark ink and heat embossed with WOW! Opaque Bright White embossing powder! What’s great about a card like this as well is that some stray embossing powder is totally okay as it just adds to the snowy look!
All the Newtonians (that’s what I’ve decided to call us, hehe!) are blog hopping today! Please be sure to join us and hop along and comment on each of the team’s creations! Read on because there’s a prize up for grabs!
Would you like to win Beautiful Blizzard?
