Hey everyone!
I’m back today to welcome to Day 3 of the Newton’s Nook Holiday Release!
We have FIVE *awesome* sets being released this month – and you’re totally invited to come party with us!
This month we’re getting into the Holiday spirit! Today’s set is an awesome snowman-filled delight – Flaky Family!!
I couldn’t pass up using the snowcat and snowdog. Here’s what I came up with:
What do you think? Soft and subtle – hope you can see the detail!
I stamped the snowflakes and snowanimals onto my Rustic White card base and heat embossed them with WOW! Opaque Bright White embossing powder. I then blended some Simon Says Stamp ink in Sea Glass over the scene to bring out the detail. I patted my finger over the card to dab on some GinaK White Pigment ink then heat embossed the sentiment using WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder. I splattered a little Perfect Pearls Mist in Heirloom Gold over the card and finished with the sweet heart stamped with Mama Elephant ink in Bubblegum and I was all done!
All the Newtonians (that’s what I’ve decided to call us, hehe!) are blog hopping today! Please be sure to join us and hop along and comment on each of the team’s creations! Read on because there’s a prize up for grabs!
Would you like to win Flaky Family?
This set will be given away to two lucky winners!

I like the simplicity of this card.
Gorgeous card <3 love this new set
I like the colors but do wish the animals were darker, I had a hard time looking for them on my screen. It may be my computer or the lighting, but very pretty card.
Neat idea. Must try
It looks very shimmery! Pretty.
This set is so cute. I love the hats.
Awesome background! Love the soft colors and white embossing~
Very soft and pretty–I like the heart.

Great idea…love the snowy scene eventhough on my computer the images are very light.

This is interesting!
The background is pretty. I can see white where the animals are stamped but can't make them out. I'm sure it is much clearer in person. thanks for sharing.
Interesting. It's a different idea and cute!
Super cute CAS holiday card!
Very soft and pretty! Love the soft blue and those lovely snowflakes! Sweet sentiment!
Well fellow Newtonian – you certainly used a lot of techniques on this card. Lovely! Are you happy with the Gina K. white ink? I have been looking for a GOOD white ink that doesn't just sink into the paper and turn a paler shade of the cardstock.
Simple, but elegant.
Ooooh, awesome idea, Taheerah! Very snowy and PRETTY!!!
