Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday!
It’s time for another Runway Inspired Challenge! I so love creating for these!!
Here’s the *awesome* inspiration image for this challenge:
Two words: Manolo. Blahnik.
!!
Some of you may know just how much I love quirky shoes, so this is right up my street! Oh how I wish I owned these beauties!!
Here’s what I came up with:
I love how this turned out!!
I started with a piece of cork. I wanted to mimic the look of the cork on the shoe, so this seemed like a good starting point, lol! I tapped it all over with GinaK White Pigment Ink then wiped it with a tissue to rub some of it into the grooves. I then stamped it with stamps from Autumn Pattern Pieces and A Little Argyle stamps sets from Papertrey Ink, using Hero Arts Shadow Inks in Pale Tomato and Orangeade for the red, and Navy, for the, er, navy. I completed the stamping with GinaK Pigment Ink in Ivory and PTI ink in Kraft in some places too! I then cut the panel up into pieces and arranged them on my Rustic White card base. I would love to tell you that this was an intentional design feature, but honestly I cut it up to arrange differently on the base but then hated it and thought better of it lol.
I stamped the Hello Bubble stamp onto another piece of cork using Versafine Onyx Black ink then adhered it to a piece of patterned vellum before adhering that to my panel using Pinflair Glue Gel. I think that’s pretty much everything!
So anyway, now I’m all done squealing and monkey clapping with excitement and all the rest of it, you definitely want to check out what the rest of the DT have come up with!!
Thanks so much for joining me today and sharing in my excitement!! I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way!

fabulous!
Gosh, this is gorgeous!
Love this. You always make the most amazingly cool backgrounds, full of coloring techniques.
I have to agree with Amy. The shoes are beautiful, but I don't own a "walkers license" for those high heels… I would end up with a lot of embellishments like bruises, broken bones, blood dots and so on. 🙂
You are hilarious Cris! 🙂 Thanks for brightening my day!
Wow! That cork background is amazing, and I love the pattern you created on it! So cool!
Love how you were inspired…such a great challenge…I'd totally wear those shoes if they were ballerina flats 🙂
