Hey everyone! Happy Thursday!
Today we’re having some extra fun over at Uniko Studio as we revisit an awesome older set for an awesome blog hop! This month it’s the turn of Peace On Earth! This set is such an endearing Christmas set, with those sweet doves and darling sentiments!!
Of course, I wasn’t ready for Christmas just yet… *wink* Here’s what I came up with:
What do you think? I really love how it turned out!!
I started with a panel of Rustic White cardstock and stamped the laurel leaves with a mix of Distress Inks in Mustard Seed, Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade and Frayed Burlap. I then used just one of the berry/leaves on the twig stamps to stamp the berries using Distress Ink in Fired Brick. I spritzed the stamps with water before stamping to mix the inks and give a more fluid look, and also flicked some of the Scattered Straw ink on to the panel too!
I turned to PTI’s Wet Paint set for the sentiment, stamping it with a mix of SU! inks in Baked Brown Sugar and Soft Suede. Finally, I adhered my panel to a card base with a piece of patterned paper from the My Mind’s Eye Necessities Wood Collection and I was all done!
So in case you are new to the Revisited Blog Hop then it couldn’t be simpler! You have until 23:59 UK time on Thursday 25th September (18:59 EST) to leave comments on the Design Team’s posts to be in with a chance of winning this set!! And believe me, even with no prize on offer you would want to comment anyway – their projects are *amazing*!!
Well that’s it from me for today! I do hope you will leave some love before you head on your way though! Thanks so much for stopping by!
