Hey everyone!
I’m back today to welcome to Day 3 of the Newton’s Nook September Release!
We have FOUR *awesome* sets being released this month – and you’re totally invited to come party with us!
This month we’re getting into the Autumn and Halloween spirit! Today’s set is a Halloween set with great scene building images – Spooky Street!!
I broke out the Distress Inks again and set to work building a scene:
What do you think? I love how this turned out!!
I masked off a hill on a panel of Pure White cardstock and blended Distress Inks in Stormy Sky, Dusty Concord, Pumice Stone and Black Soot for my sky, then flicked on some water mixed with a little Perfect Pearls. I then used the other side of my mask to mask the sky and blended the ground with Distress Inks in Black Soot and Spiced Marmalade.
I reapplied my ground mask and stamped my images using Versafine Onyx Black ink, heat embossing my sentiment using WOW! Clear Semi Dull embossing powder. Finally, Newton! Newton from Newton’s Antics makes an appearance, coloured with Copics and his eyes substituted for some of the spooky eyes from the set! I adhered him using Pinflair Glue Gel, adhered my panel to a True Black card base and I was all done!
All the Newtonians (that’s what I’ve decided to call us, hehe!) are blog hopping today! Please be sure to join us and hop along and comment on each of the team’s creations! Read on because there’s a prize up for grabs!

Love that scene, what a great background!
What a fantastic Halloween card. The background truly is spooky & forbidding Those eyes on Newton are the perfect touch to make him look dangerous. Brilliant.
That spooky background is AWESOME!!!
Love how you did Newton's eyes and using distress inks are prefect for this stamp set.
Very well done card ( love Newton focus!)
Cute and spooky at the same time!
LOL, love how you changed Newton's eyes – reminds me of when dogs' photos get 'green eye' (vs. red eye) and they look demonic or possessed, LOL!
