Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday!

It’s time for another Runway Inspired Challenge! I so love creating for these!!

Here’s the *awesome* inspiration image for this challenge:

I really love that bold tomato red with the black semicircles! Here’s what I came up with:

I really love how this turned out!! For some reason I kept looking at the top and thinking ‘ikat’ so that’s what I went with!!

I started with a Pure White card base and punched some circles from Post-It notes using an EK Success 1 3/4″ circle punch. An easy way to create semicircle masks and give them perfect placement? Just fold the circles in half then affix them over the edge up to the fold line!

I then painted the card base using Mister Huey’s Mist in Overdue, before rubbing the base with my Hero Arts ink in Pale Tomato. I removed the masks then painted the ikat pattern by hand with Mister Huey’s Mist in Inky Black, followed by dry brushing on some Versafine Onyx Black ink! I curved my sentiment from PTI’s Wet Paint set and stamped it and I was all done!

So anyway, now I’m all done squealing and monkey clapping with excitement and all the rest of it, you definitely want to check out what the rest of the DT have come up with!!
