Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday!
It’s time for another Runway Inspired Challenge! I am so loving creating for these!!
Here’s the *gorgeous* inspiration image for this challenge:
I love the beautiful and delicate fabric with that gorgeous floral print!! Doesn’t it get you in the mood for Summer?!
I focused entirely on that floral pattern and light airy feel. Here’s what I came up with:
*squeal* I love this so so so so much!!!
I started with a panel of Pure White cardstock and stamped it with the gorgeous Hero Arts Flower Medley Background stamp using Versamark ink then heat embossed it with WOW! Clear Semi Dull embossing powder. Then I went to town watercolouring it with my Distress Markers. I *love* the way that turned out!! I used a solution of water and Perfect Pearls in Perfect Pearl to water down my marker inks for a soft shimmery effect!
To add to the light and airy feel I then spritzed the entire panel with Perfect Pearls Mist in Perfect Pearl, and a little of my solution as well. This stuck to the embossing powder as well as the watercolouring so the whole panel looks amazing!!
Finally I used a piece of vellum, also spritzed with my mist, and stamped it with the sentiment from WPlus9’s Fresh Cut Wreaths set and the sentiment from Neat & Tangled’s Everyday Labels set using Versafine Onyx Black ink then trimmed them out and adhered to my panel with Pinflair Glue Gel, before mounting my panel to my card base. This card is even more beautiful in real life, believe me!!
So anyway, now I’m all done squealing and monkey clapping with excitement and all the rest of it, you definitely want to check out what the rest of the DT have come up with!!

This is the most beautiful card that I've seen in recent times. Love every bit of it. I really wish I could see the card in person, so that I could actually see the shimmer. That would have been just perfect.
hahaha, monkey clapping, that is the PERFECT word for it! I do that too. Sometimes I even literally do that : )
This card is so monkey-clapping-worthy. Love the idea of a clear semi-dull powder. And your trick to mix the markers with perfect pearls is really intriguing. Love how soft, yet detailed this turned out, and them …. bam. A thick black label in the center. What a punch!
