Hey everyone! Happy Sunday!!

Today I’m sharing a card for the latest Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge – woo!!

Today’s challenge is a Designer Drafts challenge, which means we’ll be working from a sketch to jump-start that creativity!

Here’s the sketch for this week’s challenge:

I interpreted the sketch fairly loosely and, using my Nine Lives and Simply Said sets, created this:

What do you think? I love that kitty!

I substituted the circle for a frame and used my Quote Tag die to create a stencil by die cutting some acetate. I then used the different parts of my stencil at different points and blended Distress Inks in Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed around my frame on a panel of Pure White cardstock. I reversed the pinks/yellows on the inner part of the frame to represent the different coloured quadrants of the circle. I splattered my card with Perfect Pearls Mist in Perfect Pearl to react with those inks a bit!

I stamped my kitty using Versafine Onyx Black ink and traced around him lightly with a W00 Copic Marker. I then stamped my sentiment as well.

Finally I stamped the meandering paws across the base in place of that line. I loved loosening up the sketch to add my interpretation to it!
