As mentioned yesterday, this month we are showcasing the products in any order we choose! So today I’m showing you a super awesome die!! It creates the most amazing and detailed pattern! It’s the Cover Up: Leaf Pattern die!!
It seems it really is a case of ‘great minds think alike’ as my card, created over the weekend, is really similar to another by my fellow DT member Amy!:
Squeal!!! Isn’t that effect just awesome?!
I started with a panel of Stamper’s Select White cardstock and die cut the entire plate. Then, keeping the leaves in their places, I coloured them individually with Distress Markers.
Once this was done I placed adhesive on the backs of the leaves and, using the negative as a guide, positioned the leaves onto my Rustic White card base. Super easy, and therapeutic too!!
Finally I spritzed the entire card quite heavily with Studio Calico’s Mister Huey’s Mist in Calico Shine. This created just the faintest hint of wicking of the colours – just what I was after. 🙂
Sometimes a card doesn’t need a sentiment and leaving this one plain made it look like some fancy high-end stationery!!
