Hey everyone! Happy Sunday! How has your weekend been?
I’ve had a really busy time this weekend so I’m sharing an older card with you today that was a publication reject. It’s a Halloween card and I figure now we’re in Halloween I can start to sneak a few more spooky projects in can’t I? *wink*
What do you think? It might not be perfect but I still really like it!
I started with a Stamper’s Select White card base and stamped the eyes from Studio G’s Halloween Eyes set using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I then flipped each of the stamps over and overstamped the eyes with them using Versamark ink and heat embossed with WOW! Clear Semi Dull embossing powder.
Next I rubbed my Versafine pad all over the card and sprayed with Heidi Swapp Colour Shine mist in Black Velvet and Glimmer Mist in Black Magic for some spooky shimmer! The embossed areas resisted all the ink of course so I was able to wipe it off them to reveal the eyes again!
To finish up I stamped the sentiment from Spooky Sweets II using Versamark ink and heat embossed to give the finished result. All done!
Well I think I’m going to try and have an early night tonight – I always say it but hardly ever achieve it! Maybe tonight’s the night, lol! I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Supplies:
I always forget about using the other side of the stamp! Must remember that, seriously. Love how you arrived at this card. So much more interesting than using black cardstock, you over-achiever, you!
OHHHHHHH WOW! That is an amazing way to make this card- I thought you just embossed on black paper! But no!!!! You used embossing powder and ink and mist to create this fab card! YOU ROCK! LOVE it!!!!!!!!
