Hey everyone! Happy Friday!! It’s Friday at last!!!
I think I may have exhausted them after today’s post, but here is another publication reject, this time an awesome chalkboard effect card:
What do you think? I love this so so much!!
I started with a panel of Pinefeather cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from Stylish Sentiments: Holiday using Versamark ink, then built up the garland of lights and holly with stamps from the Love Lives Here: Holiday and Holiday Lights sets, and the little spring from the Winterberry set.
I heat embossed all of them with WOW! Opaque Seafoam White embossing powder. I think it looks far more authentic with an off-white colour!!
I added some highlights and hand-drawn details with a white pencil, then rubbed some Ocean Tides ink and Fresh Snow ink into sections of the panel.
I then stamped the flourishes from Modern Wood Mats using Fresh Snow ink for a lighter touch. I edged the panel lightly with some Fresh Snow ink then adhered to a Smokey Shadow card base for a Christmas card that’s totally stylish and on trend!!
Well I’m hoping to create a ton of new cards over the weekend to be able to share with you over the coming week. There may even be the first Christmas Couture post too! *wink* In the meantime I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way! Thanks so much for stopping by!
