Hey everyone, happy Wednesday!
I have a quick and simple card for you today. A quick and simple card that took over 2 hours. Go figure.
I just couldn’t get this one right no matter how I tried. In the end though I got there:
What do you think? Doesn’t look like it would be that much trouble does it? lol.
I started with the balloon from Birthday Style and stamped it with SU! inks in Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight and Pool Party.
My trouble came with working out what I wanted to do with the strings. I tried using the streamer images from the same set but didn’t like the thickness, or them in over the balloon images. I tried masking then stamping them but still didn’t like it. I tried adding the bow image on top. Liked that even less lol.
Finally I figured it out! I pulled out Banner Builder and used the string image from that to stamp the strings. Much happier now. 🙂 And they even had little bows on the end already!
The sentiment comes from Mama Elephant’s Big Words. And that ink? That’s the new Hero Arts Silver Shadow ink. 🙂
Well that’s it from me. Bed time is calling. 🙂 I am trying hard to get a little stronger every day and heal. One day at a time I guess.
Thank you all for stopping by today! I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way!
Supplies:
Good call using the daffodil!! It really perks up the more pastel colors. And the gray sentiment is perfect with all three of them. That banner tie sure makes a darn good balloon tie!
Love what you have going on inside too.
Hope things are getting a little better for you. I'm sure you think of little Leo first thing each morning, but hopefully there are times that it's not completely on your mind.
So pretty! I love the colors and really think I need that silver shadow ink now too 😉
A simple card that takes hours? Oh I can *so* relate to that! LOL!
This design is well worth the time spent; I love it!
🙂
Lovely!
I know how you feel – sometimes the simple projects are the ones that take the longest! Sometimes it takes two hours to make one card while other times you can make 5 cards in that amount of time! Love what you did with the balloons!
Love this sweet ad simple card! The balloons look like bubble gums 🙂
This reminds me of a card I made that had a series of solid circle stamps, I think I made at least 5 cards before I was "sort of" satisfied with the final one. Position, ink coverage, every little detail was bothering me!
So soft and pretty. Hope you're feeling better.
It's those darn CAS cards that are the hardest – harder to hide mistakes or imbalances in stamping….you nailed it here. Worth the time!
Ahh!! I love how you used the strings from the banner builder for the balloon!!!! Love how they are a little slanted!
