Hi everyone! The week is going fast huh?! Thursday already!!
So, Day 3 of introductory posts for the Uniko Studio June Release! Here we go!
Today I’m featuring the next installment of the Background Builders sets – and this one is all about one of my favourite things – chevrons!!
Background Builders: Chevrons contains several chevron stripes (zig zags) and some individual parallelograms that can be used to build your own chevrons! So awesome!! It’s these little ‘bits’ that I used for the focus of my card today!
One of the other trends emerging these days is feathers. I had an idea of creating a modern, stylised feather… and this is what I ended up with:
How funky is that?!
I started with a Stamper’s Select White card base and stamped my chevron ‘bits’ to build my feather, using A:Muse inks in Pumpkin, Bermuda, French Roast and Wasabi.
I then created the ‘stem’ of the feather by stretching out one of the thinner zig zags/chevron stripes and stamping it using French Roast ink. A sentiment and ink blotches from PTI’s Happy Trails set finished off this card nicely!
So what do you think? Are you in love big time?! I really recommend checking out the Uniko blog where Bev is officially introducing the release every day – and also to the designers who are also showcasing this set! Make sure you comment on each of their gorgeous creations – they deserve it!!
I’d love to know what you think of today’s creation – I love it when you leave love! Thanks so much for stopping by – I hope to see you again tomorrow for the next day of the release – and don’t forget to tune in a little bit later today for the final day of StampSpotlight!!
What a great idea. Your stamped image does look like a feather. TFS.
Wow I love this! The colors you've used are so wonderful for this design…the contrast between graphic and earthiness is awesome!
Love how you think outside of that box! FABulous! Hugs Bev x
What a fun and coolio idea, T! Send some of that mojo this way, please! ;D
