Hey everyone! Happy Thursday!
Today I’m sharing a fun card I made for Gel-à-Tins featuring the Crackle Paint stamp!
This stamp is great for grungy backgrounds and many other looks, but I saw something a bit different in it with my out-of-the-box thinking:
That’s right – tree bark!! To me this looks a lot like birch bark and I just had to try that idea out!!
I started with a Rustic White card base and stamped the crackle effect with Pressed Greige Linen ink to create my tree bark effect. Then I had an idea which was very Robin Hood – pinning a note to a tree using an arrow! I trimmed out a piece of Stamper’s Select White cardstock and used the Spiral Notebook die to give it a notebook page effect, then stamped my sentiment from Avery Elle’s Oh Happy Day set and a little heart from PTI’s Love & Marriage set using Versafine Onyx Black ink.
To finish up the design I adhered the note to the base using Pinflair Glue Gel, then stamped an arrow from using Pure Poppy ink, trimmed it out and cut it in half before adhering the pieces to my card to look as if it had gone through the paper!
I would love if it you left some love before you went on your way! Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon!
