Hey everyone! I hope you’ve had a great Monday!
I’m bringing you another nautical card today that is simple but striking:
What do you think? I’m pretty happy with how this turned out!
I started with a Rustic White card base. I temporarily adhered an anchor shaped mask to the base (I drew and cut the anchor from acetate) and sprayed the base with Chalkboard Glimmer Mist in Cornflower Blue. I wish I had some navy spray mist instead but this still turned out nice!
When dry I stamped the stars from the Come Sail Away set using Versamark ink then heat embossed with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder.
I die cut the banner from Stamper’s Select White cardstock using the Tilted Banner die, and curved a sentiment from Come Sail Away before stamping and heat embossing. I adhered the banner using Pinflair Glue Gel and that was all that was needed for this card!
Well, I hope I can be back to a better blogging schedule tomorrow! I’ve been creating loads but they’re all for publication submissions so I can’t share! I am also *way* behind on leaving and returning comments on others’ blogs so please forgive me – I will catch-up soon I hope! I do hope you’ll leave some love for this card before you head on your way though! Thanks so much for stopping by!
Supplies:
I actually like the cornflower blue over the navy, just to change things up a bit. And you know I'm infatuated with gold! Would you believe I actually chose COPPER over gold embossing today? Crazy, I know.
Oh, this is so cool and striking, T.! I always love how your cards demand and second glance to take in all the beautiful details!
So darn cute! Love the misting and nautical feel.
Fabulous, and such great creativity 🙂
Great misting! Just the right amount, not too little and not too much (I tend to over do it). And love the gold embossing!
You should be happy with how this turned out – it's fabulous! Love that you drew the anchor yourself too!
Gorgeous! Love the misted card front and the raised banner…the gold stars are the perfect nautical touch!
Love the misting!! And the gold EP. I can't wait to go out and get some gold EP now!
