Hi everyone! Happy Saturday!!
I have a series of exciting posts to share with you over the next few days! I am thrilled to be participating in the Uniko Studio April Release as a Guest Designer!
Huge thank yous and hugs to Bev at Uniko Studio for inviting me! I hope I can do your lovely products justice Bev!
And what a time I was asked to join in too! This release marks the introduction of the new Uniko Studio dies!! The first set of dies co-ordinates just superbly with the previously released BRIGHT Butterflies stamp set – I love it when stamps and dies co-ordinate!!
I set to work straight away with these lovelies and they were instrumental in helping me create this sophisticated Congratulations card:
What do you think? I am swooning a little over this!!
I started with a piece of Rustic White cardstock. I used a little bit of adhesive runner to position my butterflies onto my Paper Smooches Notebook Scallop die so I could create some overlap and cut everything at once! NB: if you actually try this at home yourself then I recommend actually planning ahead and die cutting the notebook page first then die cutting one butterfly at a time from it. Much easier on your die cutting machine and on your dies!
After all my die cutting was done I stamped the whole panel with the Hero Arts Tiny Ink Spots Background stamp using Versamark ink and heat embossed with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder. I then removed my butterfly die cuts and inked the edges with my pad then embossed again to give them that wonderful gilded edge look! In fact I loved it so much that I repeated it on the edges of the notebook page die cut as well!
Finishing my card I adhered all the elements to a Rustic White card base using Pinflair Glue Gel. I bent the top butterfly only before adhering so he looks ready to fly off! I then added a sentiment from a new stamp set this month (more details soon!) and that polished everything off nicely!
So what do you think? Are you loving so far?! I really recommend checking out the Uniko blog where Bev is officially introducing the release every day – and also to the designers who are also showcasing these dies today! Make sure you comment on each of their gorgeous creations – I hear there could be a mystery prize giveaway in it for you! *wink*
I’d love to know what you think of today’s creation – I love it when you leave love! Thanks so much for stopping by – I hope to see you again tomorrow for the next day of the release!
love the gold edges in this. so chic!
Now how different is this notepaper die vs. the notepaper die in graph paper from the next post. Completely different feel! Way to change it up. Love the embossed edges on everything!
