Hey everyone! I hope you’re not suffering too much from the Monday Blues!
I’m bringing you a sweet little card today that I created using the Clearly Besotted Stamps’ Call Me set. This set has *the* most adorable and perfect vintage telephone and I love it so much!!
I decided to go for quite a classic yet modern look (is that possible? lol) with this one:
What do you think? I *really* love how this turned out!!
I started by stamping the solid telephone onto Stamper’s Select White cardstock using Versamagic Aquatic Splash ink. A lot of my crafty friends know I have been searching for the -perfect- mint ink for a while and thanks to the help of JJ and Chupa I was directed to… an ink I already had in my stash and hadn’t realised. LOL. Figures! Anyway all’s well that ends well!
I trimmed out the phone stamped just the centre portion of the phone again separately before overstamping the outline using Versamark ink and heat embossed using WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder. I trimmed out the dial and adhered onto the phone using Pinflair Glue Gel. I stamped the solid stamp again with Versamark, heat embossed and trimmed out just the telephone cord and adhered to my mint phone. Totally digging the mint and gold combo – I have been wanting to play with this for so long!!!
I adhered my phone to a white cardstock panel and stamped and embossed the sentiment from Becky Oehlers’ Spoon Me set. I also stamped one of the hearts from the set in Burano ink and trimmed out and adhered to the centre of the dial. Aww.
I white panel was adhered onto a Rustic White card base. I stamped the Diamond Grid Background stamp and heat embossed it first. Really love all that subtle pattern – have to thank Wida for pointing me in the direction of this stamp!!
Well, that’s it from me for today. Lots more crafting to do between now and this time tomorrow, lol! I would love to know what you think of this little card before you head on your way! Thanks so much for stopping by!

LOVE!!! I love the teeny lattice background and that gorgeous mint green.
These phones are awesome. I wrote about my teenage phone-related plight here…http://kinsalecreations.blogspot.ca/2012/09/call-me.html
By the way, do they pay you to endorse these embossing and ink products???…because they totally should! YOU are enabling us!
Oh me oh my! This is the kind of card that I would BUY! You rock, Taheerah!
Ah-ha, so this is the origin of the mint and gold combo! K, our challenge for the next card will be … do NOT use gold embossing!!! Wait, what? Why? OK, forget it, I momentarily lost it. Gold is back. : )
The phone is so hot in that aqua, and I'm really enjoying the background too. The square format adds a nice touch.
