Early post today! I have a surprise for you!
That’s right!! Today I have the humongous honour of being a Guest Designer with the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge Team!! YAY!!!
I want to thank Michele so much for giving me this opportunity! I am so thrilled!!
So, onto the Challenge then! 🙂
So, our challenge this week is to incorporate chevrons and flowers into our design. As a lover of both chevrons and flowers I was pretty much spoilt for choice in terms of thinking up designs! I finally settled on this one:
Pretty right?! I love how this turned out!!
I started with a Rustic White card base and temporarily adhered a Studio Calico chevron mask (this one was exclusive to the Neverland Scrapbook Kit) to my base. I then spritzed with Heidi Swapp Colour Shine mist in Tropicana Teal and also flicked a bit of Gold Lame on there too!
When all that was dry I peeled off the mask and stamped the flowers from Mini Blooms using Versamark ink and heat embossed them with WOW! Opaque Seafoam White embossing powder. I then added a few select blooms and embossed them with Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder. Such a classy look!
All I needed to add then was the sentiment from Mini Blooms, embossed onto a Rustic White strip, and adhere that to the base with Pinflair Glue Gel! And I was all done!!

Totally in love with this funky floral chevron card! The blue/white/gold combo is so fresh, and the design is stellar. LOVE, love, LOVE how you white embossed over a white masked area. How INTERESTING! Did I say I loved it??!
