Hey everyone! It’s Wednesday! Just a few more days until the weekend – you can make it!
So, today I’m bringing you a card created in a style I haven’t touched for quite some time.
Vintage.
That’s right. I can’t believe it either.
So, anyway, this card just sort of came to me, piece by piece, and here’s what I ended up with:
Quite a shock to the system after all that CAS stuff, huh?!
I started by die-cutting the Parisian Lace Doily from Rustic White cardstock. I splattered it with Heidi Swapp Gold Lame Colour Shine Spray and then sprayed with Perfect Pearls Heirloom Gold mist.
I then created the flower using some Clear And Simple Stamps 24 Karat Wired Ribbon, some burlap die cut using the Notched Flowers die before spraying with Studio Calico’s Mister Huey’s Calico White and Calico Cream sprays, and some Clear And Simple Stamps 24 Karat gold cord. I adhered the flower to the doily using Pinflair Glue Gel, adding a couple of tears of gold washi tape to serve as leaves.
The card base is Rustic White cardstock. I used some 5th And Frolic Patterned Paper for my next layer, impressing it using the Linen & Canvas Impression Plate before swiping the edges with Versamark ink and heat embossing with WOW! Metallic Gold Pale Super Fine embossing powder, then adhered to my base using Scor-Tape. I used the same embossing powder to emboss my sentiment banner, stamped on Sterling Silver cardstock using Becky Oehlers’ Mistletoe Memories set. I curved the banner with my fingers before adhering to the panel using Pinflair.
I know this is quite a departure for me, and I don’t expect to go creating a spate of vintage cards after this one, lol. But it was fun revisiting a different style and seeing if I could pull it off. 🙂 I would *love* to know what you think of this card. Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope to see you again here soon!
PS: more details about StampSpotlight will be coming soon – keep tuning in to see an announcement on this over the next few days or so! It is going to be AWE. SOME!!!

So very vintage MODERN … hahaha, you can't escape your roots! Love the gold floss you wound around the flower. So unexpected, but such a great detail. Oh, and the spatters on the doily. And the chunky polka-dots. OK, I just love it all!
Loving the splatter, and what a gorgeous flower! All that gold is fantastic!
