Roll up, roll up! Come one, come all! The day we’ve been waiting for is finally here!!
That’s right – today is the Made With Love Blog Hop!!
Last year I was most privileged to go on the most amazing journey that was Gallery Idol 2012. Little could I have realised just how much this would change my life, no more so because it introduced me to 19 extraordinary talents that I am now honoured to count as friends.
The 20 of us continue to keep in touch, support and encourage each other to this day, and I can’t imagine my life without them in it!
AAANND it means that, every once in a while, we get to throw the most amazing parties – like this one!!
The Made With Love Blog Hop is one of the most amazing events I’ve participated in!! I’ve had so much fun creating for this event, and we have all loved all the chatter and fun in organising and getting this party going!
And *what* a party this is going to be!! Not only do we have inspiration heaped on top of inspiration, but check out all these wonderful companies who all agreed to sponsor this Hop for us so that YOU can all be in with the chance of winning some AMAZING prizes!!
Our sponsors are:
WOW!! What a list!!! You guys are all in for such a treat!! Each of the designers will be giving away prizes from some of these companies – and there will even be one GRAND PRIZE too!!
We’re hopping in the order alphabetised surnames… which means that I am up first. 🙂 No pressure then! *wink*
So, shall we get this party started?!!
Every party needs an invitation, so here is mine…
Intrigued? Let’s take a closer look…
Inside this gold embossed, gold lined, pink envelope, a most prestigious invitation is awaiting…
Here’s what you see as you start to open and unveil the invite…
How super-awesome-amazing is that?! Love VIP?! What a super-cute way to invite your loved one to a Valentine’s event!
But wait, this is just the back of the invitation! Let’s flip it over…
That’s right!! A Movie Night?! Is there any better way to enjoy time with a loved one then a snuggly movie night on the sofa?!
I took my inspiration from this wedding invitation on Pinterest:
I used the idea of a vintage ticket to inspire my invitation design – designed to look like a giant ticket!
I used a ton of supplies for each item so please note that, rather than describing every step and item as I usually do, I am going to list supplies as I go, rather than detailing my process. Else we’d be here all day – and there are many other ladies waiting for you to hop to them! Please note that if there is enough of a demand, mentioned through comments, for me to walk through how I created any of the items then I might do some follow-up posts focusing on each requested item in turn!
So, anyway.
After receiving such an impressive invitation your loved one is sure to want to attend, right? Well, this little gold envelope contains a pack of everything they’ll need to get in…
Here’s the reverse of the envelope, on its own. The ‘Love’ on the back mimicking the back of the invitation. As you open it up, the theme of the main invite is carried on with the RSVP pack:
Cute right?! Let’s take a closer look…
This is the reverse of the RSVP pack, with prestigious gold lettering
And affixed to the reverse… tickets! Well you need tickets to get into a movie, right?!
These cute little tickets form the RSVP pack to present on arrival. Very official and posh!
The tickets pull out from the slits holding them in place. Here they are expanded out:
This again was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest, specifically this Save The Date set of tickets:
No detail spared on my version, so here is the reverse of my tickets:
Awesome huh!?
So, apart from movies and cuddles and snuggles, what do these tickets get you?
Only entry to all of this as well!
I put together some mini popcorn boxes and filled them with sweet treats – sweet popcorn, heart-shaped marshmallows, and peanut M&Ms!
As well as that, I took some small champagne bottles and adorned them with ticket tags, and the larger one with a filmstrip label:
I think that just about rounds up my whole ensemble – phew!
I hope I haven’t exhausted you too much for you to carry on hopping – or to try your hand at winning some prizes!
My prize packs are courtesy of Gel-à-Tins Stamps (whom I am on the DT for) and Becky Oehlers Stamps! Let’s take a look at what you could win!
Gel-à-Tins are offering up their most awesome Love Knots set and a packet of Hot Pink Gelly Gem roll ups:
And Becky is offering up her beyond-awesome set, Spoon Me!
Want to win? Simply leave a comment on this post by 23:59EST on Thursday 21st February 2013 for a chance! A couple of random winners will be drawn shortly after this date!
Ready to hop on? Here’s where the rest of the Hop is taking us:
