Hi everyone! How are you today?
This is my second post of the day. To see my latest card in my 14 Days of Valentine’s Cards series just scroll down. 🙂
Well, Day 7 of the Clean & Simple Card Making 2 class focused on One Layer Cards again, but this time to create with stamps that are both large and small, and keeping it all to one layer!
After brainstorming a little here’s what I came up with:
What do you think? I’m undecided, lol! What I do like about it is that it uses two of my favourite trends – chevrons and arrows! I hope these things never go away!
I started with a Stamper’s Select White card base. I then stamped the arrows and chevrons, building my pattern from larger and smaller stamps as I went along. I used the Mama Elephant On Target and Trifecta sets, and the Waltzingmouse Stamps Woodgrain set, of course!
The arrows and chevrons were stamped with A:Muse inks in Bermuda and Lime, Hero Arts Butter Bar and Papertrey’s Berry Sorbet, Aqua Mist and Hawaiian Shores inks.
I added the arrow sentiment, from the Studio Calico Cut It Out kit stamp set, and stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I then stamped part of one of the sentiments from On Target over it to create the sentiment ‘Love You’.
Finally I added some rhinestone stars and I was all done!
I’d love to know what you think of this card. I’m being pretty critical of it, so I’d love to know if that’s just me! Thanks so much for stopping by – I hope to see you back here tomorrow!
BEAUTIFUL colors and design!
i like it!! fun colors, and yes, spot on trend! 🙂
I LOVE this!!!
Another beauty, Taheerah! It is fun that the chevrons are still "in" while the arrows are flying "in," too. Ugh, that sounded cornier than I meant it to sound. Anyhoo, you did a fab job of combining the two for your OLC!!
So trendy and fun!
Trendy! Love the mix of arrows and stamped at an angle, Taheerah!
