Hey everyone! Welcome back to Day 12!
For those of you who are new to my Valentine’s Showcase, here’s what I’m going on about:
Due to the popularity of my 25 Days of Christmas Cards posts (well, they were popular with me anyway!), I thought I’d bring you a series of cards that are perfect for Valentine’s Day! And, just to give this series a little twist, I am challenging myself and keeping them all as cards that are suitable for guys! Every year I see a smorgasbord of beautiful Valentine’s cards, and they are all very well done and very inspiring – but they all tend to be very girly. So I’m bucking the trend and bringing you a fortnight of cards dedicated to the men in our lives!
Fun right?! My series is nearly drawing to a close – just a few more days now!
So today’s card is inspired by a quote from a movie I kinda like, No Strings Attached. One of the characters is a doctor and gives a Valentine’s card that says this on it, and I loved that quote so I went with it:
Doesn’t look much on the outside does it? But read on and all will be revealed!
I started with a Smokey Shadow card base and stamped the letters from Mama Elephant’s Midnight Letters. I am annoyed that I still can’t get all the lines centralised, but that’s life I guess! The letters were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
Still rather plain huh? Well it’s what inside that counts!
I think this is so so fun – and this is where this card comes into its own!
I stamped the heart from Avery Elle’s Lots of Love set using Versamark ink then heat embossed with Rouge Zing! embossing powder. I then overstamped the lines from Sweet Stamp Shop’s Watchin’ TV set using Versafine Onyx Black ink.
I added the ‘explanation’ by stamping the letters from MFT’s Typewriter Alphabet set – and I was all done!
Well I do hope you’ll be back to join me for the penultimate in this series – and in the meantime I’d love to receive your comments on this card! Thanks so much for stopping by!
very fun! made me laugh! Especially funny because my heart does skip a beat… it'll go along fine for some time and then skip… nothing serious, just unique to me I guess! lol Totally delightful card!
So freakin' creative, T! This one would be perfect for a doctor 😉
I've just popped back in to check on your 14days of V and wanted to say I think you must have an endless amount of creativity – your brain must hurt! You are amazing, as are your cards!
You are so stinkin clever! I'm loving gathering inspiration for masculine type CAS cards! Guess I better get crackin on my hubbies cards along with my two sons!
Linda

Too cute! I love how it continues onto the inside of the card!
