Hey everyone! I hope your Monday hasn’t been too terrible!
I’m back today featuring a card I created for Gel-à-Tins featuring the Super Star set!
Did you ever get a gold star for good work at school? I loved getting those when I was a kid! I wanted to recreate that feeling of achievement in the form of a congratulations card:
Fun huh?! I love how this turned out!
I started by die cutting the file tab from Rustic White cardstock using the Desktop File Left die and the notepad pages from A:Muse Graph Paper using the Spiral Notebook Page die. I inked the edges of all of them with VintageTouch Chamomile ink and crumpled up the notepad pages a little.
On the file tab I stamped the lined image and the ‘Inspiration’ word from Desktop File: Inspiration using Aqua Mist ink, the A+ and the Congratulations sentiment from It’s Official using Pure Poppy ink and Versafine Onyx Black ink respectively, and added a strip of fun washi tape.
Then all I needed was my star! I stamped the star onto cardstock with Versamark ink and then heat
embossed with gold embossing powder to make it really shine!
I trimmed out the star and then adhered all the elements together onto my Rustic White card base with Pinflair Glue Gel, adding a fun Pebbles library clip to finish off the look!
I hope you’ll join me back here tomorrow for something new. Thanks so much for stopping by!
This is totally cute!
What a fun top-of-the-desk arrangement! That binder clip + woodgrain washi = much fabulousness!
Super duper fun!!
How fun! I love the little pops of color from the binder clip and the washi. Great card!
This looks cool! Love your composition, specially the stack of papers with their distressed edges, and the little details here and there!
