Hello everyone!
It’s Raspberry Suite Colour Challenge time again! This time the lovely Ms McVey has given us the following combo to play with:
I didn’t really like the look of this one to begin with – no pink in it! But once I set that thought aside I had a lot of fun coming up with this entry:
As you can see I still can’t put Guidelines II or Star Prints down!!
The base is PTI Kraft which was edged with VintageTouch Chai ink. I punched out a border of Summer Sunrise using my EK Success Parisian punch and layered behind a piece of Dark Chocolate cardstock.
The Dark Chocolate piece has a pattern stamped in Dark Chocolate, Summer Sunrise (the paler brown medallions) and Vintage Cream and I really love the way it turned out!
I tied a length of Rustic Cream Button Twine repeatedly on the other side before tying in a knot. I adhered a star stamped with Summer Sunrise onto Vintage Cream cardstock and added Dark Chocolate and Cream buttons to finish.
I stamped two more stars on Vintage Cream cardstock, both using Dark Chocolate ink, before adhering with Pinflair Glue Gel.
I toyed with whether to add a Dark Chocolate sentiment stamped onto Summer Sunrise cardstock but I thought the balance was better the way it was.
I *think* I’m happy enough with this entry but I may well have another go if I have time! What do you think of this one?
Love your fun stars and jute. Great job with the color challenge.
It's a good life!
