Vintage… With A Touch of Cute

Hey everyone! Happy Friday!! WEEKEND!!! HOLIDAY!!!!! 😀

Today I’m sharing a vintage tag I created, with more than a dash of cute injected into the mix! I decided it was time to finally use my Newton’s Holiday Antics stamp set from Newton’s Nook Designs, but wanted to do something different than just the standard look! Here’s what I ended up with:

*swoon* I could not be more in love with how this turned out!!

I decided I wanted a vintage Polaroid-style feel, so I die cut my tag components from Rustic White cardstock using the Tag Sale #7 dies, then blended all of them with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo. I spritzed the main tag with Perfect Pearls Mist in Heirloom Gold and the smallest panel with Studio Calico Mister Huey’s in Calico Shine.

I stamped Newton separately and watercoloured him with Distress Markers. I didn’t mimic one of my own cats this time, and just went for a soft wash of colour with some definition/graduation between the hues. I stamped the same image again onto my smallest panel, then added a bit of colour to the lights before painting over them with some more Calico Shine. I trimmed my coloured Newton out and adhered him onto the panel using Pinflair Glue Gel.

I assembled my smaller panel into the one with the photo corners, then adhered that to the tag using Glossy Accents. I then stamped the ribbon from Mama Elephant’s Confetti set using Hero Arts ink in Red Royal, trimmed it out then inked it again. I spritzed it with Heirloom Gold before adhering using Pinflair.

Finally I added some Scarlet Jewel Satin Luxe ribbon, also spritzed with Heirloom Gold, and added some touches of that May Arts Gold String again! And that was me done!

Well, I am *finally* on holiday now and won’t be back at work until Monday 6th January! I plan to get *loads* of crafting done over the break, including this weekend! What are you spending your weekend doing? 🙂

Thanks so much for stopping by – I would love it if you left some love before you went on your way!
