Do you ever create a card you love so much that you want to share it right away? That’s today’s card. 🙂
What do you think? I’m really loving how this turned out!!
I started with a piece of Shimmer cardstock and added some hand lettering using a Quickie Glue Pen. I coated this with WOW! Metallic Platinum embossing powder and heat set. The powder would look a lot sharper if I hadn’t heated it twice, sigh…
Next I blended in some Hero Arts Shadow ink in Navy and Silver, Distress Inks in Black Soot and Vintage Photo onto the base, and spritzed with Perfect Pearls Heirloom Gold mist.
I freehand cut a moon shape and blended Vintage Photo and Black Soot inks over it, as well as some Silver, before spritzing with the mist again. I adhered this to my card front using Pinflair Glue Gel.
I treated the inside to a similar look, this time completing the companion sentiment with a white pen. I really enjoyed trying my hand at some hand lettering – I think I’ll have to practice some more!

What fun!! You could try using a Versamarker pen before heat embossing with powder – that works really well for me!!
Hey Cara. 🙂 Thanks for the suggestion, but I never have much luck with my Versamarker pens. I seem to either ruin them, or the powder doesn't stick, or the line is too wide. The Glossy Accents worked *really* well, but I ruined it by heat embossing it a second time because I wasn't thinking right, so then it lost some of the sharpness. Lesson learned!!
