Evening all,

Apologies for not posting anything for a while – a holiday and forgetting my camera with my brother are to blame! I’ve been making cards like crazy and it’s been killing me not being able to post them!

Anyway, finally got my camera back and I wanted to share with you a card I’ve made for Dawn McVey’s latest Raspberry Suite Colour Challenge:

I love the combinations Dawn comes up with – I’ve never seen anyone with such a great eye for colour, I honestly don’t know how she does it! Here is my card using the colours specified:

To create this I used all-PTI supplies (though I’m sure that won’t surprise you!). The stamps are from the amazing ‘On My Couch’ and ‘On My Couch’ additions set. There’s just so much you can do with it and there’ll be lots more cards to follow which have used it!

Each couch has a button ‘cushion’ to which I’ve added a bow using Rustic Cream Button Twine. I used Berry Sorbet buttons on the Spring Moss couches and vice versa. I added white ‘studs’ to the top couch using my Inkessentials Opaque White pen.

The legs of the Spring Moss couches were coloured with Memento Tuxedo Black markers. I would have used a black Copic marker but I hadn’t stamped with Memento ink so didn’t want to risk bleed.

Each couch and its cushion (and cat!) were affixed using Pinflair Glue Gel. Behind the Pure Poppy backing is a loop of polka dot Berry Sorbet ribbon – I wanted to try doing something a bit more modern and different with my ribbon to use it more as a small accent of interest.
