Hey everyone!

Happy Monday! I know, I know, Mondays are tough. We all need a little tonic to help us get through the day. Luckily there’s a new challenge in town to help us do just that – the Cure For The Monday Blues Challenge!!

This is a challenge which I’ve created myself, yay me! Every Monday I will bring you a photo inspiration challenge, with images that focus on lifting us out of those Monday doldrums and all inspired to create!! I’ll be asking you to play along as well and linking up your creations! At the end of each week I’ll pick a Top 3 who’ll be my Cures For The Monday Blues and receive a special badge to add to your blog!!

I can hardly believe that this challenge is in its tenth week already! Wow! I want to thank each and every one of you who has supported it and played along. You all rock and I appreciate you so much!!

Before we get to this week’s challenge I want to thank all of you that submitted entries for the last challenge. They were all truly beautiful entries and you did not make my life easy when choosing the winners!! I really wanted to pick you all!! Here are my Top 3 Cures For The Monday Blues:

Winners please contact me to be sent your challenge winner’s badges!

Yet again I had some absolute stunners for entries, and as a result it was an almost painful process narrowing it down to a Top 3! All of you have really been putting in some amazing designs and it makes me so happy when you play, so please keep playing along!

So are you excited to get this week’s challenge under way?! Let’s see what’s up for this week’s inspiration:

Source: Pinterest

So many different ways you can go with this one! The pops of neon and bright colour! The soft serene blues! The plethora of patterns! Awesome!!

Here’s my take on the inspiration:

I love how this turned out!

I started with a Pure White card base and blended Hero Arts ink in Bubblegum all over it. I was drawn to that throw on the bed. To be honest I was absolutely spoilt for choice with this inspiration and finally went with the first thing I’d been drawn to!

Next I stamped all the cameras from the Maya Road Say Cheese set using SU! ink in Tangerine Tango. For some reason the pattern on the throw kept making me think of retro cameras! Don’t ask me, I just work here.

I agonised for ages over my choice and style of sentiment, but finally I turned to my trust WPlus9 So 80s  set and stamped the main sentiment with GinaK White Pigment ink before heat embossing with WOW! Opaque Bright White embossing powder. The companion sentiment was stamped onto a separate piece of cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink and I was all done!

So now it’s your turn to cure the Monday Blues! Here’s how to participate in the challenge!

  1. Congrats to the winners! Such lovely, inspiring cards! I agree with your observations on this photo…so many choices, so much beauty to explore! Your card: absolutely gorgeous! Hoping to find time to play, as we're on a wee road trip and I only brought a small "mobile crafting unit" with me. Looking forward to seeing the gallery this round!

  3. Thank you so much for choosing my card as one of your top three today! That made my day! I love the way you pulled the pink and orange from your new inspiration photo to make your card today! It's great to see all the different interpretations of the same starting point.

  4. That is FANTASTIC! I thought that card base was a piece of cardstock because you colored the base and stamped it so perfectly! All the pieces fit together perfectly – awesome colors, fantastic composition, and really fun, fun, fun!

  5. Thanks for the shout out!!!! I love your inspiration you provide every week.

okay…wow. This week's pic….LOVE and seriously, your stamping is over the top wow because I totally was going to ask who makes that base panel paper only to read that you did everything. LOVE.
